Great service. Very flexible in terms of booking in fitting. Good range of products. Mike was really helpful in terms of taking us through all the different products and what will work best in the space.
Really helpful throughout. Great choice of products and good quality. Mike in particular was amazing!
Ian was very informative and caring when selecting our flooring, he really helped us stay within our budget and guided us through the process
Great selection of flooring and definitely a useful place to visit if you want to see different options in person and get a feel for what you like before making a decision. That said, price transparency was a real downside for me. I didn’t like that many products didn’t have prices displayed and I had to keep asking. Each time, the price seemed to be given from memory, which didn’t feel very clear or consistent, especially when looking at lots of different options. I was told prices change frequently, which is why they’re not shown, but as a customer it makes comparing products much harder. Overall, it’s a good showroom for browsing and getting inspiration, but I’d prefer clearer, visible pricing to make the experience more straightforward.
I feel very mixed about our experience with floorstore. The shop is lovely and the staff really helpful which is why we chose our Amtico flooring with them. However a seriously big flaw that, for me, means I’d never use them again is the way they handle the fitting. You have to pay for your materials 100% before they will allow the fitters to start work, which we then felt is when they wash their hands of you. Our fitting was scheduled for 3 days prior to Christmas but instead took the fitter 10 visits over 5 weeks meaning we were left with a half finished floor over the festive period and numerous days where we had to arrange to be out of the house only to then be let down (which was really hard whilst 8 months pregnant with a toddler and dog). Floorstore had absolutely no clue the fitting wasn’t completed and it felt there was very little they could when it started dragging on as they fully outsource their fitting to a range of self employed fitters. The job was done well but I feel it wasn’t made clear at the time of purchase the fitting would be completed handed off. I’m really pleased we didn’t pay our fitter anything until the job was completed as otherwise I think we would have struggled to get him to finish the job and I’m not confident floorstore would have done much, (other reviews have similar experiences). We also felt for our fitter as we live in a Victorian house so it was a complicated fit and it was clear floorstore had clearly underquoted the job. At no point since paying them have Floorstore’s checked to see if we’re happy with the floor, (even though we did have to call many times to explain the issues we were having so they knew we weren’t happy customers). If I’m honest I just feel like they let themselves down at the last, but most important hurdle, and the way they manage the fitters shows they only really care about selling you the product, not actually how it gets fitted and as such i unfortunately couldn’t recommend them or use them again in the future.
