4.7 / 5 · 752 totalWhen we opened the first two boxes, we found several boards that had clearly been filled with wood filler, along with some pieces that appeared to have burn marks. We also noticed that each 1m² box contained three very short boards (around 300mm), with the remaining boards being a mixture of approximately 1m and 1.2m lengths. This wasn't what we were expecting and made us question the overall quality of the product. Although the flooring appears reasonably priced on the website and is marketed as engineered oak, we were disappointed to discover that it is manufactured in Asia. In our experience, the quality did not meet the standards we had expected. To be fair to Stories, their customer service responded promptly. They offered to replace the two boxes we had opened, but we declined because we had concerns that the remaining 23 unopened boxes could contain the same issues. Instead, we agreed on a full refund, and the collection was arranged quickly for the following day, which we appreciated. I cannot fault the way Stories handled the return, but based on our experience, I would advise anyone considering purchasing their flooring to inspect it carefully before installation and satisfy themselves that the quality meets their expectations.
Fantastic - all staff have been friendly and helpful. Loads of choice, recommendations and advice. Good range of price options to suit all budgets. The carpet itself is fab quality. Becky who booked us in is lovely and Dave that fitted carpet is brilliant. Definitely recommended and will be back when we decorate the next room.
In a dispute over faulty flooring installed 5 months ago. Delaminating and warped. Chris is passing the blame on the fitter whilst insisting SPC can only be fitted on screeded concrete floor and then making excuses that he doesn't know all the facts as he's not a fitter, he only sells the stuff. I suggest to learn your facts about the product you're selling. Discovered that the planks inside of the leftover box never touched by the fitter were all warped too. Explain that to me Chris. Their 20 year warranty has to go through their Chinese manufacturer. I heard it all now. Dreadful experience.

We ordered the Lusso herringbone Natural flooring. It’s just been fitted in our lounge and dining room and we are so happy with it! It feels so expensive but we thought the price was really reasonable. Highly recommend this company for engineered wood flooring.
Huge range of choice of flooring. Biggest in the uk. Prices are so reasonable. Found exactly what I was looking for. Staff were so helpful when I called with questions. Their email invoicing payment system makes it so easy to see what you are buying and processing your payment. Would highly recommend. Updated to add photos of finished flooring. Love how you can lay this in patterns.
Great quality and fast delivery! In process I noticed that delivery address I gave was incorrect. It took me a whole minute to updated, I was connect quickly directly to human being and my issue was resolved instantly. I will always recommend using those guys. They are so good that we end up using them again for flooring on the second floor and the attic conversion.
