I highly recommend Thorner Flooring. After having two other companies come out and fail to give me any real confidence, meeting Craig was a big relief. From the moment he walked in, it was clear he genuinely knew what he was talking about. He took the time to explain the challenges with our floors and walked me through what would need to be done. It was also great to know that they would move furniture and appliances too. Both Craig and Paul worked incredibly hard and their knowledge, skill, and attention to detail really showed. They did a proper and thorough job making sure that problematic issues were properly dealt with before laying the new flooring. They went above and beyond - fixing doors, attaching floor protector pads and caps to furniture, and even replacing an old washing machine pipe. I’m so impressed with the quality of their work and the end result - couldn’t be better! We asked Craig to supply and fit a hall and staircase carpet in our Victorian terrace property. He provided us with numerous samples and gave useful advice to help us make our selection. He did all the work himself and the quality, thoroughness and attention to detail was off the scale. On removing the existing carpet he proceeded to re-secure and reaffix any loose or defective floorboards and also skimmed parts of the solid floor where there were uneven patches. We did not ask or expect him to do this. Whilst laying the carpet and underlay he planed and rehung all the relevant doors and carried out other minor repairs to enhance the end result. All the work was completed with the time allowed and at the original quoted price. The area was left spotless. We are more than delighted with how the work went and particularly the finished product.

I had a complete relaying of my downstairs hard flooring done by Craig at Thorner Flooring Services, taking two weeks. The entire experience was smooth and stress-free. Craig is incredibly professional and very friendly. He arrived on time and finished on budget, delivering exactly what he said he would do. He took fantastic care in keeping the house tidy—he was incredibly clean and tidy, even handling the moving and replacing of all the furniture. He just got on with the work, and his daily clean-up was so meticulous I wouldn't have known he had been working for two weeks! An excellent, trustworthy service.

Would 100% recommend Craig. We had hard flooring put into an office room and a downstairs room in our house and are so pleased with the final result. Friends have commented on how good the finish is and the detail. We were very impressed with the prep, Craig fixed floorboards and joists and fully explained about our uneven floorboards and talked through his suggestions for solving various issues. Craig took us through the various options for a new floor, and did a thorough survey of the task ahead. We chose laminate flooring (a first for us); Craig did a top quality job; his attention to detail is excellent. He left everything clean and tidy, taking away all rubbish. Craig fixed floorboards and fitted new timber support battens in the downstairs hallway and first floor landing, then replaced the carpet on the stairs and landing, with underlay. He planed the doors and fitted new grippers and door strips. All rubbish removed, area vacuumed and looks completely spotless. All communication was responsive and professional and the work completed to a high standard in super quick time. The new carpet is like walking on a cloud! Craig is very considerate and friendly and I would absolutely recommend Thorner Flooring services and would use their services again
