We couldn’t be happier with the work Dave at Elite Floor Sanding has done on our 1930s yellow pine bedroom floorboards. The transformation is incredible — he’s completely brought them back to life while still keeping all the character you’d want from a property of this age. From start to finish, Dave was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly takes real pride in his work. He talked us through the process, gave honest advice on finishes, and his communication throughout was excellent. He turned up when he said he would, worked efficiently, and left everything clean and tidy. The quality of the finish is outstanding — smooth, even, and exactly what we were hoping for. It’s obvious he knows his craft inside out. He does have a waiting list, but after seeing the results, I can confidently say he is absolutely worth the wait. The moment Dave enters the house he brings warmth and joy. His workmanship is superb and his attention to detail second to none. Our floors were very dark and badly damaged. The restoration work he did on them is amazing, they are beautiful and the rooms are now filled with light. Dave has done a fantastic job of our floors. 100 plus years of grime sanded down and varnished to a lovely finish - we couldn’t be happier with the end result. Dave did hearth repairs - smashing out the old cracked concrete and replacing with floorboards to match and various repairs to old cracked and split floorboards. Before the job started Dave was really patient in explaining everything and also took a piece of broken floorboard and varnished it to show what the end result would look like. Dave is a lovely friendly bloke and has lots of funny stories - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his work. Also - make sure you have plenty of tea, coffee and chocolate biscuits!

Dave is a true craftsman, and a lovely friendly guy as well. Absolutely overjoyed at how the floor turned out, and I’m certain he’ll be back to do more in the future. Highly recommended, and well worth waiting for - he’s a busy man and quite rightly so! Book him, you won’t be disappointed.

Dave from Elite flooring has sanded and stained a number of floors for me , I have always been delighted with finished work . He is very professional , reliable and very competitively priced. Nothing is too much trouble . Highly recommend .
