Tapi Carpets & Floors

Carpeting and vinyl for stair treads were purchased from Tapi. Their craftsman did everything on arrival. On the same day, the vinyl on one step started to peel off. The craftsman has already come to fix the stairs twice, although only a few months have passed. This time, the stairs need to be fix again, because the carpet is peeling off again. The store ignores our complaints. Next time, I will not choose Tapi and I do not recommend it to others.

Paul Burt from Tapi Carpets in Ipswich came to measure up the carpets for us and they came much cheaper than initially anticipated! Delighted with the service, so easy and seamless and Paul was great on the day

I paid for laminate to be fitted in my lounge, hallway and master bedroom. The Tapi representative who initially visited to measure and provide a quote made a complete mess of the measurements, leaving the fitters 5 boxes short and unable to complete the job! This meant having an unfinished lounge and the hallway couldn’t be completed on the first day. Tapi were able to locate some more boxes for us but when the fitters attended again a week later they realised this was 3 year old stock which no longer fit with the newer planks of wood. The fitters also had to make a trip back to the store to get more supplies as the bedroom floorplan was also completely incorrect! Im now having to wait for more of the correct flooring to arrive so the fitters can attend a third time and finish the lounge and do the hallway. The half finished lounge was already an inconvenience but we now have a large sofa being delivered before the flooring can be completed…we have no idea where to put the sofa and will have to try and delay it! When I spoke to Tapi they were very unapologetic and expected me to be over the moon with their service because they weren’t charging me for the extra flooring or the third trip from the fitter! I absolutely should not be covering the costs for their multiple mistakes. If you’re considering using Tapi, I would insist on viewing the floorplans/area quoted before you pay them or go with another company entirely!

Visited the store today to get a piece of carpet and was greeted by a gentleman called Graham he was so happy and polite and helpful, not only did we leave the store with what we needed we left the store with smiles not just because of the product but because of the service we received! Thankyou Graham and we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year

I bought flooring panels from this shop and was told by the seller that if I bought too many, I could return the extra boxes without any problem. It turned out I had 3 boxes left, so I went back to return them. The seller told me he could only refund 50% because “that’s the shop policy” – a policy I was never informed about. After several minutes of arguing, I agreed to accept the 50% refund just to get it over with. And then, unbelievably, I was told they didn’t even have enough cash in the till to pay me back and that I should come back during the week. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. A complete joke. Would not recommend this place to anyone. 👎

Actually very disappointed with my service lately, I’ve paid a lot of my for my whole house to be done for it to still not be completed four weeks later! And to be told the lino isn’t in stock and now having to rip up half of my kitchen, I wanted the Lino to match my other rooms I have Lino in, as got it in my bathroom for it to to match! I never expected this from a big company to be honest

Very good service and professional fitting. Just got the keys for our flat, and they measured and fitted the carpets in 3 days!
