Edinburgh Carpet and Flooring Warehouse is a large carpet and flooring retailer at Seafield where staff including Ross, Steve, John and Colin are praised for knowledgeable advice on carpet, laminate and engineered wood, and fitters such as Dougie, Stevie and Jamie are repeatedly described as skilled and efficient. Reviewers mention a wide range of stock, competitive pricing, and the store helping resolve issues with faulty products by liaising with manufacturers. However, a notable number of reviewers describe unhelpful or dismissive front-of-store staff, fitters failing to turn up on agreed dates, refund deductions on returned goods, and one account of a carpet showing significant wear within months that the company declined to take responsibility for. As a carpet shop in Edinburgh, Edinburgh Carpet and Flooring Warehouse holds a 4.3-star average from 154 Google reviews.

My advice ! Make the guy your Manager whom I met first time and let him train everyone in store . Dont underestimate your customers and dont give them hard looks, thanks
Had such a strange experience at this store. The first time I went in alone and none of the shop assistants bothered to speak to me. The second time I went in with my partner, the first employee who spoke to us was a little short/unhelpful but fine. He answered my questions but made no suggestions and didn’t ask me anything about the project. We browsed a bit and my partner later went to the desk to ask whether it was possible to take home some samples - was fully prepared to pay or give a deposit for this - and was told it was possible with a deposit. Later another employee came to ask if he could help with anything, he was more helpful explaining some things and asking questions, and we decided to take some samples home (under deposit). As we were on our way out of the store the other employee said “oh so you got your FREE samples then did you” in a snide way, implying we were trying to get freebies? Not sure why anyone would want a free sample of a floor unless they were planning to buy a floor though lol. My partner went to return the samples the next day and spoke to the employee at the desk, who said “who did you arrange this with”, my partner pointed out who it was and the employee said “well it will be him you want to speak to then won’t it”, again in a weird snippy way. I’m sure he could have taken the samples off his hands and returned the deposit, and saved my partner some time instead of having to wait for the other guy to be done talking to customers? Just seems lazy. Just the whole attitude was really strange and made me not want to buy my floor here lol. Not sure if it is because we look young for our age (I am 30 but still often get asked for ID) and my partner was wearing a hoodie and that’s why they assumed we were not serious customers? It was honestly bizarre. The second employee we spoke to was helpful but he was let down by the overall lack of customer service at the store. They have plenty of selection in person and I can’t comment on the purchase/installation service, which judging from other reviews seems good.
Paid nearly £5,000 for carpets from Edinburgh Carpet Warehouse. Within months they were bobbling and showing visible wear, even in low-traffic rooms. Raised a complaint but was fobbed off – told to trim the carpet with scissors(!). An “independent” inspector (appointed by the manufacturer) conveniently found no fault, so the company washed their hands of it. Poor quality product, worse customer service. Avoid.
Hi do not buy from this company I gave salesman my size of flooring he added extra in case of breakage so I took one back to get afull refund to be they deducted 22 per cent of the refund of which am annoyed as salesman told us he gave extra for breakage the box haddened been opened that's wat I call robbery I will ot go back
This is a great carpet shop with the widest range of floor coverings all under the one roof. We have been using this shop for many years and they have never let us down. We were searching for a rug this time and they did not have what we wanted, but forever helpful they suggested we try another shop, which we did and bought the rug there. We will be back.
I rate these guys. Staff are helpful, accessible and often able to price match or offer discounts. They have done multiple carpets and floors for us and it’s always been decent quality workmanship. They’ve been patient when I’ve had to go back to them for support with troubleshooting (not to do with any issues caused by their fitters but by poor building work). They are my go-to for flooring and they have a good range of end roll, budget and higher quality options.
This company was amazing, they have varieties of high quality carpets for an affordable price. The sales team was very help and patient during the process of selecting my carpets. Delivery and fitting was earlier than expected. I recommend the flooring company.
