Style Flooring Ltd

Style Flooring Ltd is a carpet fitters and shops business in Edinburgh. Established in 1995 as a family business, it has served businesses and customers in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Borders for over 25 years. The company is certified by SIPP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) and holds Elite CHAS accreditation. It exclusively employs tradesmen within the organisation and continuously trains apprentices to meet its exacting standards. Style Flooring works with builders and developers, interior designers, hotels and architects, letting agents and landlords, and directly with customers in their homes.

It has completed design projects ranging from one room to iconic 150 bedroom hotels. Its client portfolio includes some of Scotland’s largest house builders, with experience on new build and renovation projects from small to large scale builds with 200+ units. Style Flooring supplies and installs all types of flooring, from vinyl to carpets, wood floors and taped rugs and runners, and is a supplier of Ted Todd flooring. It has an in-house taping and whipping service in a dedicated workshop and uses a unique, proprietary hidden stitching technique for taping. Its carpets and flooring are installed by time served, dedicated craftsmen, not subcontractors.

Projects ranging from complete house installations to Victorian townhouse staircases recur in feedback for this Edinburgh firm, and customers consistently highlight the breadth of work undertaken, from engineered wood and hardwood floors to carpets, stair runners and linoleum in bathrooms. Robin is named repeatedly for his role in guiding clients through a wide choice of products, offering knowledgeable advice and remaining patient as decisions changed, while Stephen, Steven, Derek and Douglas are singled out for skilled preparation and installation, including the careful repair and levelling of older floors uncovered during the work.

More than one review highlights that fitting was completed exactly on schedule, even when timescales were tight and unexpected problems arose, and that communication before and during the job was responsive and clear. Tidiness and attention to detail come up often, with floors described as easy to keep clean and stair carpets as soft underfoot and precisely laid. The handling of complex herringbone work, including a request for continuity without door bars, is praised for its forethought, and several customers note that quotes were fair and the finished quality matched the price paid.
