Joe, Joe and Rob did an outstanding job from start to finish. We had a beautiful herringbone floor done in our dining room and the quality of the finish is genuinely exceptional! It has completely transformed the space. What really stood out was their attention to detail and pride in their craft. They weren’t just trying to get the job done, they took the time to make sure every element was completed properly and to the highest standard. The finish quality after sanding and sealing in particular left such a smooth, flawless finish that it honestly looks beautiful in different lighting throughout the day. They were also a pleasure to have around. Friendly, honest, and incredibly hard working. There were days they stayed later just to make sure everything was finished exactly as it should be, which says a lot about their work ethic and standards. You can tell they genuinely care about what they do, and it shows in the final result. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

What an absolute delight it was to work with Joe & his sons. We were looking to install a wood parquet floor in our kitchen – initially I was thinking reclaimed but Joe explained the pros and cons of this to us and in the end we went with new oak block which would give us greater control of finish and budget. I knew that he would do a great job and they really did, right down to matching the stain colour to the adjoining room's stripped pine boards. Joe is so warm & gentle in his communication and his craftsmanship is second to none. We highly recommend them, you won't be disappointed!

I highly recommend York Wood Flooring by Cooney & Sons. Joseph and team are so lovely to work with, very knowledgeable and helpful. The work was also reasonably priced. They restored our teak parquet flooring in the hallway, sourced suitable wood to replace some broken/missing bits, and worked with us to make sure it looked exactly as we wanted. 100 out of 5 stars!

Joe Rob and Joe have done an excellent job of restoring our two parquet floors, in the kitchen and living room. They have worked in a professional and cheerful manner, with skill, efficiency, tidiness and resourcefulness, and completed the job in two days. Our 75 year old floors now look brand new and have transformed our home. I would recommend them to anyone looking to restore their wood floors! Thanks to Joe and his team.

If you are contemplating having your original floor boards refinished, then you cannot go wrong bringing these guys in!! Rob has done an absolutely fantastic job, we do not recognise this floor😍 The boards were covered in 125 years worth of grime and Rob meticulously sanded them until they were perfect! We chose a dark stain to finish, which highlights the detail in the pine beautifully. We cannot recommend York Word Flooring by Cooney & Sons Ltd enough!
