Had an estimator come out and measure up said we would get details within 24 hours, didn't hear anything after a week so called york shop and promised an update within 24 hours, still no info i went into york shoo and spoke to Anton who promised to get sorted, guess what nothing, My advice use a local company not a chain

Ordered carpet and fitting for tapi, the salesperson was very knowledgeable and polite very professional top marks. However that was an error with the measurements and the carpet was not the correct length this is not the reason for my one star. The reasoning for the rating was the customer service after to rectify it was not good. On two occasions they said that they would do something (like contact us by a vetting date) but not do want they said they would then we were told that the fitting was extra. Then we were told an incorrect amount and even when correctly adjusted there were still inaccuracies that I have to go though and brake down everything with them. I've always used tapi for my flooring needs but after this I'll be looking for an alternative provider.

Really nice shop, was a nice experience in the browsing and choosing the carpet. Felt it was strange that was it was booked in with the fitter, the communication stopped - I emailed the shop on a couple of occasions with questions (including relating to billing after the fitting, and prior to the morning of the installation I had to phone as emails were not being answered for confirmation that it was actually booked in and going ahead), and none were responded to. Disappointing from a customer service point of view, especially from an organisation the size of Tapi that should have high customer service standards. Carpet itself has left me with some questions particularly around the standard of the underlay, but I guess I'll never know. Had plans for other rooms but was left feeling a real lack of reassurance about Tapi.

I am beyond frustrated with the service from Tapi Carpets. My flooring was scheduled to be installed on 29th October. I heard nothing on the day and had to call myself to chase the installer, only to be told they were only coming to do my stairs — despite the order clearly being for multiple rooms. After complaining, Tapi acted like doing the full install today was some kind of “favour.” Today arrived, and once again there was no communication. By 12:15pm I still had no call and no fitter in sight, and I had to chase them yet again. Only after calling was I told the fitter was “an hour away.” Because of their incompetence, my home has been unsafe and inaccessible — I physically couldn’t move furniture back in due to disability, leaving me without access to my medication and having to arrange alternative accommodation. There has been zero genuine apology, no communication unless I initiate it, and absolutely no understanding of the impact their delays have had on my health and safety. Unprofessional, unreliable, and completely dismissive of customer wellbeing. I would not recommend them to anyone.

First Class. Shaz looked after us when we visited the showroom. He was knowledgable, polite and extremely helpful. We had help choosing the right laminate and booked the home visit for measurements etc. Olly was our fitter and arrived early on the day. I can’t speak highly enough of this young man, he was excellent. The standard of his work is first class and he obviously has a great work ethic. The whole experience has been, quite frankly, outstanding from the moment we stepped foot in the showroom. Excellent value for money too. Thanks to all concerned.

Quite disappointed by the sloppy and unprofessional grouting completed during fitting my vinyl into place. It is untidy, not nice to look at and unbecoming of a company that suggests ‘vinyl is a stylish addition’. When a customer is paying £500, there really is no excuse for this poor a job. The results speak for themselves here. Would not recommend. Lee from Tapi messaged back below saying he would fix the issues. We agreed a time and date for him to come and he never came. Another reason to avoid this company completely.
