Flooring Superstore in Bristol receives strong praise for its showroom team, especially Damian, who reviewers repeatedly credit with patient, well-informed advice on laminate, engineered hardwood and carpet, keeping customers updated on offers and measurements without pressure. Positive reviews describe a good range, competitive pricing and smooth in-store buying experiences. However, a clear and recurring theme across the negative reviews concerns what happens after purchase: orders sent to the wrong depot, items arriving incomplete or with parts sold out from under confirmed orders, poor follow-up communication from customer services, and, in several cases, installation carried out by third-party fitters described as inconsistent, rushed or unreliable, with one reviewer specifically warning that in-store advice was excellent but fitting quality was not. As a flooring shop in Bristol, Flooring Superstore holds a 4.6-star average from 262 Google reviews.

4.6 / 5 · 262 totalAvoid this company if you value reliability, communication, and good customer service. Our experience with Flooring Superstore has been one issue after another from start to finish. Most recently, we were due to receive our carpet delivery ahead of our carpet fitters arriving on the 28th. The day before delivery, we were told our order had been sent to the wrong depot, so it wouldn’t arrive. A delivery did turn up—but only the underlay. The carpets and the metal door bars/threshold strips were missing completely. This now puts our carpet fitting at risk, delaying us yet again from moving our furniture into our new home and costing us even more time and money. To make matters even worse, the delivery driver hit my partner’s car while leaving, causing significant damage. We now have the added stress of dealing with insurance claims on top of everything else. Unfortunately, this is just the latest problem in a long list of failures. Earlier this year, Flooring Superstore delivered our tiles months before they were supposed to. Because we purchased them on finance, we ended up paying two monthly finance instalments in April and May before we even had the products we actually needed for our build. Then, when the tiles were finally due to be delivered, Flooring Superstore informed us that they had made an error with our order—which had been placed back in January. The tiles we had carefully chosen and designed our entire house colour scheme around had never actually been ordered, meaning they were out of stock until August. Our building work was due to finish in June, so this would have delayed our builders by weeks. We had no choice but to choose completely different tiles simply because they were available sooner, and even those took another two weeks to arrive. The communication has been appalling throughout. Despite repeatedly emailing customer services and the Bristol branch, emails either go unanswered or we receive a single phone call from a withheld number with no contact details to call back. My partner and I both work full-time in healthcare, so we cannot always answer the phone immediately. I repeatedly asked for a direct number or for someone to respond by email, but these requests were ignored. I rarely leave negative reviews because I simply don’t have the time or energy, but this experience has been so stressful and frustrating that I felt I had to warn others. We have spent countless hours chasing orders, correcting mistakes that were not ours, rearranging builders, dealing with delays, and now handling vehicle damage caused during a delivery. I am genuinely shocked by how poorly this company operates. The lack of organisation, communication, accountability and customer care has been beyond disappointing. I would strongly advise anyone considering Flooring Superstore to shop elsewhere. This company has caused us months of unnecessary stress, delays, financial inconvenience, and frustration. It has been, without doubt, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
Excellent customer service from Damian. Kept in touch all the way through our decision process, informing us of offers that came up after we had left the store. Would highly recommend.
We ordered flooring, the day after we were supposed to collect it, I called as we hadn't heard anything. It had been sold out two days after we placed the order (20/06) and wasn't going to be available until August 18th. I've spent all morning cancelling the furniture set to arrive over the next month including a bed and wardrobe and will living in boxes until it's installed. Super disappointed with not being contacted and with the delay. It's caused such a massive hassle for us. I cannot recommend ordering and feel completely deflated.
Great customer service provided by Damian and the team. Excellent buying experience. Would recommend and use again for future purchases.
Great place to go to choose flooring. Really helpful sales advisor and some lovely, great value laminate flooring options in store. We haven't ordered anything yet or had anything fitted by these guys - reading some other reviews, we would lean towards buying the product from them but choosing our own fitters based on personal recommendations from friends.
We visited Grass Direct to purchase artificial grass and had a great experience from start to finish. Damien was absolutely brilliant — really knowledgeable, helpful, and patient while we were choosing the right grass for our space. He took the time to explain the different options and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. Nothing felt rushed, and his advice was genuinely appreciated. We’re so happy with our choice and couldn’t recommend Damien and Grass Direct enough. Thank you again!
I was very impressed with the range of flooring at the Flooring Superstore. I had been getting samples online but they all look so different from the photos colour wise . Damian was excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful. I will definitely go here first next time round.
