Unfortunately, our experience at Wilsons Carpets was very disappointing. The staff were not helpful at all and showed little interest in assisting us, even though we brought in a carpet sample and were genuinely trying to understand what type of carpet we needed. We left without any proper guidance or support. In contrast, the service we received at United Carpets & Beds was excellent. Craig took the time to help us properly, explained everything clearly, and helped us find the right carpet for our home. The difference in customer service was night and day.

Good to visit a shop where the staff are interested in giving good service. Big shout out to Jamie for his help and making sure I didn't leave the store disappointed 👍

Carpet still not fit 7 months later and 9 no shows from fitters, hours off work wasted waiting for them to show up… Truly awful experience with Wilson’s. We booked our carpet fit 7 months ago and paid thousands for a custom high end stair runner. Wilson’s could not figure out how to do the turn stairs (on 3 separate occasions) and so left them with no carpet on them and the spiked rods exposed. The rest of the runner was fit poorly and is dangerously loose. They did not put stair bars on the landing carpet that was fit and told us they’d do that at a later date. They didn’t. For the last 7 months we have been attempting to get Wilson’s to finish their job which has been closed 3 times as ‘complete’ despite them having sent out the measuring team to investigate the problem who have profusely apologised for such shoddy job and then reopened the case. Head office had us pay to upgrade the underlay saying that would fix the issue, so we did, and then the underlay never got delivered or indeed fitted. In fact nobody ever came and did any fitting after the first incomplete fit. It really feels like a scam at this point. Pictures to show what Wilson’s believe is the ‘complete’ job. I genuinely cannot believe a carpet company can’t fit carpet… James was our rep in store and although he seemed nice enough clearly needs some managerial and administration training because to close this job 3 times is concerning and shows lack of integrity. We’ve lost out on 6 months of rental income because of this company and despite 10+ emails of complaints and 7 months of no carpet or underlay that we paid upfront for they still haven’t even offered a refund let alone compensation for this mess. To add insult to injury, the fitters didn’t even take off their dirty shoes when coming to look at the carpet for a refit and have left stains all over it. As this is an unoccupied rental due to the carpet not being complete nobody else has been upstairs in the property. Wilson’s carpet needs to be shut down.

Visited a couple of months back to look at ordering a new bedroom carpet and bed. Excellent service, very helpful, JT (James) provided me all the info I needed. Carpet very reasonably priced for supply and fitting, and although I had to wait a four weeks for the bed, it was such an easy transaction. Can highly recommend, will be using them again for lounge, hallway, kitchen and bathroom fittings later in the year.

Carpet fitters were efficient ,polite and fast. they tidied up and bagged old carpet for us. Staff in the shop were very helpful and we would send anyone who asked our opinion to them for a new carpet.
