We needed two rooms and a small hall carpeted and Jackie helped us choose the best options for our desired style and budget. Matt completed the job with expertise and friendly professionalism. We are pleased with the end results and would use Sawston Carpets again.

We had carpets fitted about two years ago and experienced problems with the fitting immediately. The reason for leaving this review now is that we didn’t want to post a bad review based on one experience. However, having since replaced the carpets, we now fully realise how bad the workmanship was, combined with the fact that our concerns were ignored at the time. There were two noticeable lumps across the landing carpet which looked awful. The staircase carpet was always loose and lumpy and lifted every time we hoovered. We reported these issues on the day of fitting and someone returned weeks later, but none of the problems were fixed. We contacted you again after this and received no response. Eventually, we stopped chasing, mainly out of frustration. I’m giving 2 stars not 1, only because the fitter who did the living room did a good job with no faults. Unfortunately, the rest of the house was very poorly fitted by 2 separate fitters.

Firstly, I would not recommend this very below average carpet and flooring company. Secondly, I have already made as many people as I can aware of the monumentally terrible service I received, and despite receiving a verbal apology from the director, Jackie, and told that she would return to me with some sort of recompense, I received no such communication. In the first instance, when the house was measured, the director's husband was due to arrive at 4pm, but came 30 minutes earlier and left before the due time, with absolutely no intention to return or wait. He was supposed to measure the whole house, but left out the kitchen and the conservatory and failed to write on the documentation that my house was occupied and had furniture to move. The day before my fitting was due, I received a phone call from John, who shouted at me and spoke to me in the most appalling way because they clearly didn't have correct details from the initial measuring and didn't want to accept responsibility. When the carpets were finally fitted, the conservatory had been completely missed out. If I had not been in a hurry to have the carpets fitted due to other home improvements thereby compromising the management of the project, I would have cancelled and gone elsewhere.
