Hemmings Floor Restoration

Just had our gorgeous oak and pine floor sanded and stained. Great service from beginning to end. Stunning job done by Stephan and James.

Dealing with Hemmings was very easy from the start, they have made a very good job of our limestone tiled floor which I actually thought was beyond saving! Lovely chaps, very professional and considerate, even our dog liked them!

A friend recommended Hemmings so I called for a quote. They came out and went through all the options, with no ‘hard sell’ on any of them. I said I would think about it, no issues at all, they just left me with it. When I decided to have my floor done, they were really good, delaying it for me when other work in my house ran over. When it came to the actual day of the work, Steven was early, really nice, again went through some of the options (colours of tints etc.) and gave some advice on colours. He called me back in a bit later and had oiled some patches so I could see what they actually looked like on the floor, which was really helpful. I picked a colour (after some dithering on my part!) and the floor has been done beautifully. There was an ugly oil stain which has disappeared and old pipe holes filled in almost seamlessly. Steven did a really good job, and ignoring the now fantastic floor, you would not know he had been there. I was a bit worried about the sanding dust, but I didn’t even need to hoover the stairs. Immaculately clean and a great service from a lovely team throughout. Everyone I’ve dealt with was really nice. I would absolutely recommend them.

Great experience from initial enquiry to finished floor. Communications and consultations were handled very professionally by Paul & Rebekah and they put us in touch with a company to find a perfect match to extend our existing parquet floor into our new extension. They then agreed a date for the work to lay the extension and refurbish the whole floor. The date was stuck to and Steve and James turned up at 8am on the dot each day to complete a sterling job. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. These guys clearly have the experience to handle what many thought was a tricky task. Thank you once again 👏🏻

Always a pleasure writing a good review considering how many poor service providers there are out there. We recently purchased our property and found very rough looking (but obviously amazing - who doesn't love wood) parquet flooring underneath. Paul and Steve did the work and transformed our floors (honestly). They also removed the old bottom of a fireplace and laid new bricks (which they had found matches for against the originals). I cannot fault anything about Paul and Steve's work and they were absolutely amazing with our staffy (big plus). Also shout out to Rebekah - I appreciate the quick communications and style - it puts one at ease.

Great service from quoting through to completion. We were given clear options and the planning phase was well organised. Paul came out to look at our tied oak flooring given us options what was best for our needs . Rebekah sent 2 quotes by email excellent service no pressure and she was very polite when we needed to talk to her .Date given 18th September 8am slot Paul came on time explaining the procedure he is professional and very skilled in his job role kept us informed on every step of the job we were so interested to watch our old floor come back to life Paul cleaned up no mess no dust left spotless. Paul worked so hard not leaving our property till 4.30pm gave advice on how to look after our new floor this is a family business and I would highly recommend them if you are looking for dedication. Definitely will be contacting them in the future more floors need tender care .

We found Hemmings Floor Restoration team, excellent from the start, when Paul came to survey the floor, to finish when Steve and James came to treat it. They are professional, tidy and give sound advice. It was a hot day for the men, but they worked hard to complete the job to a very high standard. We've recommended them to friends.
