Greg Stone Carpets & Flooring Brighton

Greg Stone Carpets & Flooring is a family-run business with over 40 years of experience. Greg Stone began his career in 1977 at A&S Carpets in Boundary Road. By 1980, the family operated three stores in Portslade, Burgess Hill and Eastbourne. In 1985, the company moved to larger premises in Victoria Road, Portslade. In 1999, Greg Stone took sole charge of the Victoria Road business as Greg Stone Carpets. In 2004, the company relocated to a new development on the Portslade seafront and changed its name to Greg Stone Carpets & Flooring.

The company specialises in carpet supply and fitting, and also sells laminate, vinyl, cushion and Karndean flooring. It stocks hundreds of large carpet and vinyl end-of-rolls for immediate takeaway. It serves domestic and commercial customers across West Sussex, East Sussex and further afield in the South East. It offers flexible, interest-free payments over 6-10 months, provides a mobile service and offers home visits. Finestone Contracts Ltd is registered with Companies House.

Homeowners furnishing everything from upstairs bedrooms to hallways and full ground floors have left detailed accounts of their experience with this Brighton carpet fitter and flooring shop. Customers describe a consistent pattern: helpful, unhurried guidance in the showroom when choosing between carpet, LVT, vinyl and Karndean, followed by installers who work methodically and treat the property with care. Several reviewers name Greg himself, praising his responsiveness and his willingness to accommodate tight deadlines, including one household fitted in before a baby was due.

Named fitters Jason, Lee, Jacki, Chris and Sam appear in individual accounts, with Sam singled out for handling the quirks of an older North Laine property. Timeliness recurs frequently, with jobs finishing on schedule and carpets laid in a matter of hours. Tidiness is another repeated point, with offcuts cleared and rooms left clean each evening. Reviewers also mention competitive pricing that does not compromise the finish, fast turnaround between purchase and fitting, and the willingness of staff to advise without applying pressure to buy. The recurring theme across the feedback is the seamless journey from showroom to completed installation.
