GL Floor Finishing Co serves customers in Edinburgh as a carpet fitter, flooring contractor and flooring shop, and reviews describe a broad range of flooring types including real wood, vinyl, laminate and carpets. A recurring theme is the knowledge and helpfulness of staff, who are described as friendly without being intrusive, allowing customers to browse while offering advice when needed.

Several reviewers mention the availability of samples and rough estimates based on floorplans, with one customer noting that this helped them compare options before deciding. The fitting itself is repeatedly described as prompt and friendly, with a two-person team arriving on time and completing a wooden floor installation in a hall to a high standard.

Reviewers also highlight expertise in floor finishing, naming products such as Junckers BasePrime and ProFinish, with one customer explaining that advice from the shop prevented bubbling and other issues during a sanding and refinishing project. The quality of the products and the resulting finish come up often, and one customer notes that prices are higher but reflects that quality justifies the cost. Repeat business is another point that emerges, with one reviewer returning after fifteen years and another planning a second installation for a lounge.
