Avoid, would never go back again. Sub fitters they use are horrendous and absolute crooks. They badly damage walls and skirting boards and just leave. They had to take the door off to fit the carpets also but didn’t offer to put it back and just left it

We recently used Franks at Roker. My friend Mac is unsteady on his feet but wanted to have a look. An absolutely fantastic sales person Paul helped us out. We wanted someone to size, then return to fit, nothing was a problem Paul contacted the premises to arrange access and covered all the details. Unfortunately we hadn’t taken into account the depth of the pile and the main fire door wouldn’t close, I got back in touch with Paul he recognised me and got the situation resolved. He went above and beyond for my friend Mac, that type of service is very rare these days and we sincerely appreciate what he did. Absolute top sales person. Thank you.

Moved into our first home went to the franks store in roker and first impressions it was great, they gave us £130 discount we were happy. Until we spoke to a lot of people who informed us that they say that they give you money off but the price you actually pay was the real price all along. This may be false but I have heard and experienced this in the past else where. The biggest issue came from the delivery. £50 to deliver the flooring 20 minutes up the road. When it arrived the lads said we had to pay them cash even though we were told they’d take card. The beading was missing and we realised just before work. I then had to take time off work to go pick it up because I was told over the phone that they’d charge me to get it delivered and I had to get it that day. It gets WORSE! We left the fitter a key and I went to work. Around 10am he calls me saying they haven’t gave us enough underlay and he wasn’t able to pick it up due to him not having his car (he got dropped off). I had to leave work and go pick it up myself. Driving an hour to a different store because the roker one didn’t have it in (apparently). The means I lost 2 days worth of pay as I’m self employed so don’t get paid if I don’t work. It also cost me around £60 worth of petrol total just to fix their mistakes. After all this I called franks in roker up and explained everything asking for a partial refund and all they offered me was £30 due to “already having a discount on the flooring” a load of BS if you ask me. They also made me go into the store to get it. I managed to get them upto £50 but I don’t think £50 is acceptable for me having to loose two days pay and roughly £60 more for petrol when I fixed their mistakes! Also when I was in the store, Warren the so called “manager” was the rudest person I’ve ever met. He came over with a face like a slapped arse, passed me some paper without introducing himself and just said “sign here” then went off for a few minutes, came back with a card machine and said “tap here” then pointed at the door and said see you later. I will never be back to this store. Staff rude! Unacceptable customer service! And the review speaks for itself. If there’s anyone higher up at franks reading this we have emailed you to put in a formal complaint and for you to make this right.

Fantastic service from Colin who helped us enormously in getting our new home sorted with carpets throughout, he was very patient and professional in dealing with our needs.

Called into Franks to get some idea of price - Colin arranged for Lee to come out to measure and there was no pressure - just get the price and decide. Great service by both so we decided to go with Franks. So easy to sort - hopefully the fitting goes as smooth. Thanks Colin and Thanks Lee
