Woolton Carpet Centre in Liverpool is a carpet and flooring shop where staff such as George Armstrong are repeatedly praised for patient, no-pressure advice on carpet, laminate, vinyl and LVT. Fitting teams, including Andrew's crew for engineered wood herringbone flooring and stair runners, Nathan and Marc for measuring and prep, and fitter Steven, are described as professional and tidy, with many customers returning for repeat rooms over the years. Prices are consistently called competitive and communication during ordering is generally praised. A recurring criticism, though, is dust and carpet debris left after fitting, which some customers had to clean up themselves, and isolated complaints describe a persistent carpet odour and a laminate fit that left a door unable to open. As a carpet and flooring shop in Liverpool, Woolton Carpet Centre holds a 4.4-star average from 292 Google reviews.

4.4 / 5 · 292 totalGiven one star as that’s the lowest I could give. Very disappointed with the service, Incomplete assessment means flooring couldn’t be fitted. No clear communication reading price, had to go somewhere else, the flooring was £400 cheaper with quick fitting, so due to my experience they are overpriced and I will never use this company again.
I can't recommend Woolton Carpets enough. Had 3 different jobs done (2 rooms laminated and one vinyl roll) and I can honestly say its some of the best workmanship I have ever had done in a property. They were reliable even though it was a drive to get to mine (i'm not based in the Merseyside area) and they were professional throughout. Thank you to the team. Already planning to get them out to do my next decorating project.
Great selection, reasonable prices. Exceptionally helpful staff in-store, very responsive to phone enquiries. Pricing was clear and transparent. Carpet arrived faster than estimate. Skilled fitters did a speedy and high-quality job, even given the awkwardness of my stairs.
Woolton Carpets laid laminate boards in my bedroom yesterday, 29 April 2026. The boards are fine and the fitters where great. But my door will not open fully now. Contacted WC to be told I had to pay for a joiner now to rectify the problem. This will cost me a further £30. I paid £150 to WC for their Premier Service, which I expected to cover all the fitting cost, including any adjustments that would be required. I have a zimmer frame upstairs which is now causing problems when I enter and leave my bedroom. WC you should rectify the problem not me. I have used WC at least 5 times over the past 40 years so expected a better response from them.
Would recommend, really good prices, friendly staff in the shop and the fitters came out on time, called on the way, really friendly lads and helpful moving a few bits for us
Bought an off cut for a box room, super quality. The 2 lads there took the time to roll it the way round i wanted it to fit in my car. A credit to the company 100% and they even carried it to the car as well. Excellent staff, great quality carpet and great prices. Will be back in April for stair and landing carpet. Cheers Mr A.
We used Woolton Carpets to recarpet our new house after getting multiple recommendations from people. They were very nice in store, helpful but not pushy. They do subcontract out the fitting but the guys that turned up were great and even came back at a later date to put an extra plate down because our bathroom tiles were being replaced too. We would highly recommend this store and they are considerably cheaper than other stores in the area too
