⭐ 1 Star – Tapi Carpets St John’s, Wolverhampton Extremely disappointing experience. I visited with my family intending to buy wood flooring, found exactly what I wanted and was ready to purchase, but left because of the attitude of one member of staff. We are a young Indian family with two children under 4. My kids weren’t being naughty or badly behaved — they were simply being happy, excitable young children. Despite this, the older gentleman working there was miserable, rude and incredibly disrespectful, telling them off and shouting “oi” at them. If he had an issue, he could simply have spoken to me as their parent rather than addressing small children like that. What made us particularly uncomfortable was seeing his attitude noticeably change when dealing with a white customer immediately afterwards. I cannot say why we were treated differently, but the contrast was very noticeable and left us feeling extremely unwelcome. Credit where it’s due — the other member of staff was absolutely brilliant. He seemed to recognise his colleague’s unacceptable behaviour, came over to help and was friendly, professional and fantastic with my children. Unfortunately, the damage was done. I left, purchased my flooring elsewhere and have since contacted Tapi Head Office to formally log a complaint. A genuine sale and customer lost purely because of one employee’s behaviour.

I had my kitchen conservatory And hallway supplied and fitted at Christmas, As my kitchen was so big, it had to have two pieces of flooring when the job was done it did look good but the join was in the wrong place. I flagged this up and Mike came out assessed the situation He was amazing. He put my mind at rest assured me that it would be sorted Darren, the fitter then came out and took up all of the old vinyl replaced it all and where he’s joined it now is almost invisible. The Service they’re both given me is exceptional and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank You so much, I really appreciate how you’ve helped me.

Fantastic service from Mike and Steve in Wolverhampton. They were both friendly and extremely helpful in guiding my family through choosing the perfect vinyl flooring for our living room. Highly recommend!

Really disappointed with this place. Knowingly over-sold underlay by double the amount needed... Said excess could be returned, however, they want to charge £60 for collection and 10-20% of the value of the items. Carpet and underlay are good quality but will definitely not be going back

Most unhelpful, the man's attitude was very patronising. He was unfriendly and would never step foot in the place again.

Steve at Tapi Carpets provided exceptional service and went above and beyond to assist us. His professionalism and helpfulness made the entire experience enjoyable. We will definitely be returning in the future and highly recommend both the shop and its outstanding service.
