The ground floor required a great deal of attention as multiple layers of flooring had to be removed before the floor was levelled and covered with a commercial retail vinyl. There are other jobs that SR Flooring are quoting for.
I decided to replace my small bathroom wet room floor (less than 2mx2m), after 12 years. It was so difficult to get anyone to quote for this type of work! Sammy was the only contractor who took time to quote me for exactly the work I'd asked for - so many people want the work but they want to replace the entire bathroom, not just the floor. And that upheaval was not required. He offered to effectively re-build the bathroom floor and drainage, ensure the run for the drain was correct, etc. I wasn’t expecting that, but, as we chatted during the work, Sammy explained it’s a common scenario where these are often installed incorrectly initially and, as anticipated by Sammy, that was exactly the case for our bathroom floor. It was a shambles when he started to investigate - the wrong shower tray installed, plumbing not running correctly, puddling on the floor outside the tray, shims holding up the tray incorrectly amongst other issues. All the interactions with Sammy, either on the phone, by text or email were respectful, friendly and honest about the scale of the job and the costs. He was also very flexible with dates for me. When he actually arrived, turned out it was a much bigger job than anticipated as the plumbing and flooring was not up to scratch - Sammy discussed it with me, then took the time to order the appropriate shower tray (next day to pick up and install, made to order that same day!), gully/drain, and re-level the entire floor to ensure it would run correctly. He even offered to put my replacement shower screen back up, but I let him off with that job! When I saw the finished floor, I was very happy - it's night and day from what I had before. Water doesn't puddle outside the tray, floor looks like it will last a lifetime now. Sammy’s also initiated at least 3 post-completion check-ins to make sure the floor was ok, no issues with the plumbing, etc. Couldn't be happier with the work or with Sammy's service. We don't allow many contractors in to our house for many, many reasons but Sammy would happily be allowed back! :)

Sammy has just completed a very complicated flooring job for me at The Soup & Juice Co. in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result. Nothing about this project was straightforward, yet Sammy tackled every challenge with absolute professionalism and calmness. The end result is a perfect new floor. We were dealing with a severely damaged floor and subfloor caused by major water ingress in one of the busiest areas of the kitchen/prep side of the shop. The full extent of the damage only became clear once the floor was lifted, and repairing the subfloor in small sections, over many nights, just to keep us trading each day, made this an incredibly demanding job. Despite all of that, Sammy was unbelievably patient with the many factors outside his control and still delivered everything on time and on budget. His experience and expertise are the only reasons this project was such a success. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
Sammy completed extensive work on all three floors of our premises, The Art Department in Paisley. The ground floor required a great deal of attention as multiple layers of flooring had to be removed before the floor was levelled and covered with a commercial retail vinyl. Sammy created various designs from our large stock of mixed carpet tiles for several areas throughout the building. He also created the design for the vinyl on our main exhibition floor. It is a black and white chequerboard design which complements the original Art Deco interior features on that floor. A structure was also created to correct a large dip in part of the main exhibition floor. Sammy showed great attention to detail and his cuts on vinyl and carpet were meticulous. We are very happy with his design ideas and impressed by his excellent craftsmanship. Sammy definitely rose to the creative challenge.
