Century Flooring

Daniel and his experienced assistant Alex expertly and diligently took on the extensive task of sorting out the floors of our mid-1920s house. On the first floor, this involved lifting and insulating underneath the original wooden floorboards, carefully relaying and then filling any gaps, followed by gradual, dust-free sanding and the application of an invisible varnish. We were very pleased with the finish and how well the natural colour and character of the wood came up. On the ground floor, they again lifted the original floorboards, insulated, re-laid, filled the gaps but then installed plywood, before laying down an engineered wooden floor, with great precision. With a special tool, the skirting boards were trimmed so that the new floor ran underneath, giving a much better finish than the more usual wooden beading. Again, the resulting floor is excellent. As well as Daniel skilfully doing numerous other joinery jobs (doors, locks, a new fireplace, plasterboard etc), he and his small team also undertook the painting of the inside of the whole house. A perfect finish was the name of the game and we were again very pleased with the overall result. Throughout the entire time, Daniel and his excellent team were very courteous and communicative, not only to ourselves but also to the other trades with whom they were sometimes working alongside. They were flexible and adapted well, as the various stages of the renovation progressed. We therefore highly recommend Daniel of Century Flooring.

Daniel and team did a fantastic job replacing tiles in our kitchen with hardwood floors. They were professional, diligent, and foremost - made sure the floors matched the inspiration. Will def be using their services again.

Daniel and his team (Century Flooring) are some of the very best contractors I’ve worked with - and I worked with many - on my large house renovation project.
