0 star if I could. We would never deal with Dave (director) or Budget again. As we had so many issues after just 3 weeks (such as peaking boards which were replaced albeit a different shade and texture which peaked again shortly after) (Dave said a different shade of board should be acceptable on new flooring) he did agree a full refund when his fitter had removed the flooring and was returned to his shop. He later denied all knowledge of removal and didn't know where the boards had been taken to and we were to find out where they were ourselves! After removal by his fitter (we had 30 mins notice) Dave back tracked and refused a refund of the boards saying we hadn't told him we had fitted wardrobes installed (wasn't aware we had to). We had no wardrobes at 3 weeks stage when the problem started. We lived out of suitcases and bags for many weeks. We didn't have an issue in the bedroom in any case apart from the fact it hadn't been laid straight. Dave also said we should have had door bars. The fitter checked our floor twice PRIOR to fitting. On first visit he said we had to self level the floor (the self levelling was needed to lay the floor). Also if he was happy with it, he could fit the laminate throughout without door bars. We self levelled the floor on HIS instructions. Afterwards he checked the floor and confirmed he was happy to fit throughout and without door bars. Do NOT accuse us of not listening to the fitter or taking his advice as we most certainly did and at costly expense. You really need to get your facts right before accusing. If he wasn't happy then he wouldn't have laid the flooring, simple as. Just because the estimator who measurers up suggests door bars it doesn't mean they have to be used by your fitter if he feels they aren't needed. Seems you don't trust the judgement of your own fitter. Many boards were glued in place so there was no room for any movement. I had to clean off lots of glue on day one of fitting which I found disturbing. It also wasn't laid straight throughout but apparently that was ok too and the reason Dave gave for that was farsical. When the laminate was removed half the underlay was glued down and upside down (shiny side up) so of no use to our next fitter and we had to buy new!! Dave wanted a signed letter from us saying there was nothing wrong with the boards which we refused to give. We didn't know if there was a problem with the boards as Dave refused to get the manufacturer to check it even though he previously said he wanted them to take a look. When I asked him when they were calling he said the manufacturer failed to turn up at a meeting with him and these things take time. He then changed his mind and said they wouldn't be interested in our issue. He wasnt happy we refused to give this letter and another reason he gave for not giving us a refund. He's also not happy with my 1 star review and asked me to remove it but what did he expect after the way he treated us. He told us the fitter left working for Budget the day before flooring was removed (the fitter was decent to refund us his fitting costs and honoured his word). He also confirmed it was a fitting & board issue when I asked him what the problem was. We have been left with NO flooring which we paid for and NO refund. We still find it shocking that Dave would agree to a refund of the flooring but to refuse after it was removed by his fitter. He said he will see us in court after shockingly telling my husband to shut up a few times. I couldn't have a conversation with him without him shouting at me and I found his manner aggressive and intimidating. He blocked us which was extremely unprofessional. He left me with no option but to contact trading standards which they dealt with satisfactorily for us. No apology and no understanding that as customers we aren't happy but that's his prerogative as a business owner.

We weren't happy with our laminate flooring peaking in places after just 3 weeks. I had a few heated arguments with Dave the owner and he told me to shut up on one occasion. In the end he agreed to a full refund after the laminate was removed throughout my bungalow by their fitter. After the laminate was removed by their fitter (after Dave's instructions) he refused the refund as we wouldn't give him a letter saying we didn't think there was anything wrong with the boards. As he had refused a manufacturer visit to confirm this we refused to give the letter. He took our floor and kept our money . Obviously we have contacted trading standards.. Edit...to now say you had no knowledge of the removal of the boards and you don't know where they are is an absolute disgrace. How about asking your fitter what he's done with the boards. You said he was returning them to your shop after removal as per your instructions. Your fitter said we didn't need door bars if we self levelled the floor which we did and wasn't cheap. We DID follow his instructions. He also checked the floor prior to fitting and confirmed he was happy and no door bars were needed. As The boards started lifting after just 3 weeks yes just 3 weeks 😡 and well before we had the wardrobes installed. Boards weren't even laid straight throughout. Also you also say you offered a refund as a goodwill gesture so why haven't you done this ? Disgusting way to treat a good customer from over the year's myself and my wife have spent THOUSANDS of ££ with budget carpets over the year's but never again that's for sure and we have found a fantastic new supplier thankfully . Dave left us with no option but to contact trading standards and they dealt with it all perfectly and the advice we had was very helpful to get the outcome we deserved 👌🏻😍 Edit ..we have since had new flooring laid throughout by a different company and very professionally done indeed . The flooring is beautiful quality, laid perfectly straight and no door bars were needed. In fact they weren't even mentioned by the new fitter who was a professional carpenter . As for floating floor you mentioned we've had our new floor laid without a single board lifting so maybe tell your fitters not to glue the joints it may help them expand next time not that a professional fitter should need this advice but in our case needed to know!!

What a great company! We recently had carpet and LVT flooring installed. Great professional and simplified experience. Nice to see a company who actually pride themselves upon good customer service 10/10.

Had my living room carpet fitted last week. The quality on the carpet is great and competitively priced. The fitter was amazing given the shape of our living room, alot better fit and quality than the last one we had from a completely different store. We had our stairs one fitted by budget carpets about 10years again and still no problems at all.

Stunning job by budget , Sorry didn't catch the fitters names , they did a perfect job on our flat at the harbourside. Measure up was fast and prompt and so was the fitting appointment and the fitting and work was spot on ! Thankyou ! Would definitely use again or recommend!

We are absolutely over the moon with all of our flooring from Budget Carpets. Would highly recommend. We floored the whole house with Budget Carpets and the whole process was absolutely seamless. The selection of carpets was a lot more than anywhere else we had been and the quality spoke for itself. Georgia and the team were fantastic. We would definitely use Budget Carpets again. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
